How Did I Wake Up Today? is a long-term artistic research project that makes visible the effects of climate change on the human body and psyche through a personal experience.

A 365-Day Visual Diary

This project consists of a 365-day visual and poetic diary kept between January 1 and December 31, 2025. Each morning, the artist documents their physical and emotional state through delicate, freehand drawings or short written reflections. Everyday sensations such as itching, shortness of breath, burning eyes, fatigue, calmness, or anxiety are considered in relation to climate change, rising pollen levels, and seasonal shifts.

This diary reveals that the climate crisis is not merely an abstract set of data, but something that materializes in the body, in emotional states, and in the rhythms of daily life. By using their own body as a way to measure things, the artist seems to naturaly show how allergies are connected to changes in the enviroment. Lengthening pollen seasons, increasing temperatures, and shifting weather patterns transform our relationship with nature, while the growing tendency to retreat indoors amplifies both productivity and anxiety.

The works form a chronologically ordered archive. For the physical exhibition, a specific period marked by intensified allergic symptoms is selected, while the remaining works are shared digitally, allowing the project to reach the viewer as a coherent temporal whole.
